DLS homework - Composition

I don't really know why I decided to use eggs as a focus for my composition egg-ercise (HA!), but it works.. I really like the opposite textures of the background and foreground and how they work together in the picture. The way the light reflects off the eggs is also appealing! I have four distinctly different compostions. The last one is just what had come to mind orignally and then I decided I won't get 5 different compositions using that formation, holding the eggs myself, and attempting to take the picture with my camera in the opposite hand. Wasn't working.

These photos were only edited for curves, and contrast. However the last one I left alone.

  1. These are SO COOL! I love egg pictures, but every time i haul out the eggs my kids a) ask what I'm baking and b) break one on the floor, which the dog then licks up - and really, it's better to stick with fruit and creepy dolls for me...
